Job Summary

Job Outline:
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for technical and clerical functions in the area assigned. Duties include unit-dose or traditional dispensing medication order entry medication cart refill ward stock replenishment inventory management sterile products preparation manufacturing and pre-packaging. All rotations include responsibility for continuous quality improvement and workload measurement
Education & Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) accredited college
- Registered and licensed as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT designation) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists under Part A in good standing and authorized to practice
- A minimum of 1 year related hospital experience is required with 3 years experience preferred
- Sound working knowledge of computer applications such as Meditech is required
- Strong organization and problem solving skills.
