Essential Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of Principal Engineers Architects and Lead System Designers the Electrical Engineer will help to create next-generation system architecture and support design changes on the current production systems.
Capable of owning and driving design in electrical disciplines like PCB design cable design communication methods wireless devices displays etc. The scope of design ranges from low voltage mixed signal circuits to line voltage AC circuits to high voltage for x-ray generation.
The engineer will be expected to drive technical design from concept to execution. This includes prototyping risk retirement design reviews reliability testing creating requirements and verification plans design documentation manufacturing implementation and field support. The engineer should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams have technical communication skills and a strong commitment to product safety quality and reliability.
Learn and participate in design of the power system capable of running an X-ray Generator. Design components up to 300V in a safe and compliant manner.
Learn the physics behind X-ray generation and the basics of high voltage generators. Contribute to design changes and support of components associated with the high voltage generator.
Understand the tradeoffs that different design decisions can have on electro-magnetic immunity and compliance. Become familiar with the IEC safety standards for medical X-ray devices as they pertain to electrical components Use these skills when designing and selecting components to achieve a compliant system.
