An excellent opportunity exists within the Naval Power estimating organization Naval Air Missiles SSBU as a proposal analyst. The estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing addition the estimating organization supports gate reviews government audits and negotiations with the customer.

What You Will Do

Support the development and analysis of proposals
Work with other functions from across the company to understand the labor material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
Develop Request for Estimates which are used to kick off proposals
Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating actuals ensuring consistency within task descriptions and assessing the estimating approach
Prepare Gate 4 charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
Experience with Microsoft Office products
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Strong organization and analytical skills
The ability to work well in teams
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to produce and modify Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
Experience meeting deadlines and working in a schedule driven environment
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and Look Up functions is desired but not required.
Experience in a financial setting working with numbers data sets or computations.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
