Job Summary
Position Summary:
Position can start any time between January and June 2026
The Quality Co-Op will support inspection and quality assurance activities on the production floor. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in a technical field who have hands-on experience or coursework related to machining manufacturing processes and precision measurement. The position involves approximately 70% time on the production floor performing inspections and 30% time in an office environment documenting results and supporting quality initiatives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional inspections using calipers micrometers comparators and other precision measuring tools.
- Verify parts against blueprints specifications and router instructions.
- Assist with calibration tracking of gauges fixtures and tooling.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Support quality engineers with nonconformance reports and corrective actions.
- Help develop and update standard work instructions to improve quality and reduce scrap.
- Foster a Safety 24/7 culture and follow all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Engineering Technology Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Technology or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers dial indicators).
- Basic understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word Excel).
