Job Summary

Position Summary:

Position can start any time between January and June 2026

The Quality Co-Op will support inspection and quality assurance activities on the production floor. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in a technical field who have hands-on experience or coursework related to machining manufacturing processes and precision measurement. The position involves approximately 70% time on the production floor performing inspections and 30% time in an office environment documenting results and supporting quality initiatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers micrometers comparators and other precision measuring tools.
  • Verify parts against blueprints specifications and router instructions.
  • Assist with calibration tracking of gauges fixtures and tooling.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Support quality engineers with nonconformance reports and corrective actions.
  • Help develop and update standard work instructions to improve quality and reduce scrap.
  • Foster a Safety 24/7 culture and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Engineering Technology Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Technology or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers dial indicators).
  • Basic understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word Excel).
