Job Description:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring component installation hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Essential Functions:
Ability to read and understand descriptions of manufacture (DM DOM) for operation assembly instruction. Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools. Operate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines press stakes air screw drivers etc.) with proper training. Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to during and after assembled. Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs. Maintain assembly/quality records paperwork as required.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
- J-STD-001 experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience reading blueprints
- Experience using magnification instruments.
