Job Summary

E-logic is hiring a qualified Site Construction Inspector to provide full-time construction inspection services for private commercial and residential development projects including work within Polk County Land Development Division rights-of-way. The primary goal is to ensure strict compliance with approved plans County codes and utility standards.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed inspections of construction activities materials and workmanship for compliance with approved plans and the Land Development/Utility Code.
Inspect the installation of underground utility lines (water wastewater reclaimed water) and stormwater management facilities.
Oversee and inspect earthwork including backfill compaction and site grading.
Inspect pavement construction verifying material depths types and ensuring proper testing (mix and temperature) for asphalt.
Observe and inspect the installation of lift stations signage and traffic control devices.
Maintain accurate records of project progress and coordinate issue resolution with County Engineer staff. - Recommend final release of projects to the County Engineer upon successful completion.

Required Qualifications:

Significant experience in site civil construction inspection (utilities stormwater and paving).
Ability to accurately interpret civil design plans and technical specifications.
Strong knowledge of erosion prevention and soil stabilization techniques.
