In this role you will report to the Regional Director and will work closely with the Avantors Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: New Haven CT
Shift: 1st shift (Monday - Friday) expected to be flexible and work outside of the schedule as needed
Salary Range: $96300-$102000 5% yearly bonus

What were looking for
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Operations Management Life Sciences or a related field
Experience:
Leadership & Management:
4 years of experience in a leadership role managing associates within a service or scientific operations environment
Understanding of and ability to consistently administer Avantors policies
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues
Technical & System Proficiency:
Proficiency in tools such as Workday Excel and other reporting platforms
Experience with Microsoft Teams (preferred)
Familiarity with GMP and GLP standards (training a plus)
Spill containment IATA DOT IMDG and HAZWOPER training (a plus)
Communication & Collaboration:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective presentation skills and the ability to interact with customers and cross-functional teams
Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
Personal Attributes:
Flexible adaptable and able to multitask in a dynamic environment
Self-managed self-motivated and forward-thinking
Ability to make sound business decisions with limited consultation
Travel & Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance

Avantors Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma pharmaceutical educational industrial and high-tech industries with customizable flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
The Site Manager oversees a geographic territory that spans multiple customers personnel and service solutions. There is also potential to manage Scientific Services and/or GxP-compliant services.
In addition to operational leadership the Site Manager acts as a relationship manager to the customer contributing to business development product and quality management and the communication of complex metrics. This role typically reports to a Regional this role you will:
Coach motivate and supervise team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet/exceed goals and objectives.
Act as a liaison between the customer Avantor Services and Avantor sales.
Provide training and backup to associates to perform required tasks.
Manage budget and review/approves expense reports.
Customer reporting and data analysis.
Serve as a role model and mentor in both words and actions for associates who express and exhibit a desire to pursue individual professional growth and team growth.
Establish maintain and continuously review goals and objectives for the department to ensure they are in line with the overall corporate goals and objectives.
Monitor and report on actual performance vs. established goals and objectives.
Plan develop and implement programs and procedures within the scope of authority with an emphasis on improving department productivity individual productivity and corporate profitability.
Handle administrative duties such as associate performance appraisals time card review vacation scheduling performance issues etc.
Develop and maintain: SOPs SOWs SPIs and KPIs.
Conduct internal and external presentations.
Ensure GxP compliance and good documentation practices.
Bring value to the customer from personal development in the industry
Manage revenue growth and TOE reduction.
