Participants in the Engineeringinternship program willhave the opportunity to rotate throughan engineering department within Collins Aerospaceto learn aspects of the design test analysis and customer support of aircraft wheels and brakes and braking systems.
What You Will Do:
- Participates in product development activities executes tests and produces parts designs or sketches following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design safety and qualification standards.
- Participate in product development activities including cost estimates implementation of standard specifications drawing board layout and development of performance or maintenance requirements. Execute tests for systems sub-systems and components.
What You Will Learn:
- Learn test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects. Produce parts designs or sketches for machines components systems or work orders / purchase requests
- Learn about applied research to the planning design development and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems instruments controls engines and/or machines.
- Gain knowledge in research plans designs and develops mechanical products and systems in areas including but not limited to mechanical thermal hydraulic thermodynamic or heat transfer for production transmission measurement and use of energy.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Troy OH to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
