The Department of Economics & Finance in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Finance to begin August 1 2026. The duties in this role include: Provide instruction for both basic and upper-level courses in finance including derivatives and financial institutions as well as MBA or basic economics courses if needed. Develop curricula for new finance elective courses in the candidates research field. Mentor undergraduate students and engage students in research if possible. Pursue research activities in finance including writing dissemination and presentation of research at national conferences. Basic Qualifications: Basic qualifications are required at the time of application. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA ) in Finance or Financial Economics. Candidates who are ABD and will complete their degree before the start date will also receive full consideration. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students and ongoing scholarship that can be published in high quality journals. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications are not required qualifications for the position. Demonstrated excellence in teaching. Progress toward (or completion of) CFA . Ability to teach AI machine learning and/or fintech. Experience working with diverse student populations and communities. Salary Range: The budgeted salary range for this position is: $90000 to $115000. About NCC : Founded in 1861 North Central College is a selective comprehensive liberal arts institution of about 3000 students located 28 miles west of Chicago in Naperville. The College is in a period of growth with the addition of a $60 million Science Center (2017) and a new Health Sciences and Engineering building (2020).
