As a key member of the Breathing Exercise and Sleep Therapies Research team you will have the opportunity to provide innovative solutions for sleep and breathing disorders in neuromuscular diseases. Youll collaborate with leading experts conduct groundbreaking research and contribute to improving the quality of life and care of patients. Your contribution will be pivotal in advancing state-of-the-art therapies within a dynamic and supportive academic environment at the University of Melbourne.
Your responsibilities will include:
Produce Innovative Research: Conduct assessments with trial participants analyse data and contribute to academic publications.
Coordinate Study Activities: organise study visits assist with participant recruitment and manage trial documentation.
Support Team Collaboration: Serve as the point of contact for trial participants and team members fostering a cooperative environment.

You are an enthusiastic allied health professional with a strong research background exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for advancing care for people living with neuromuscular disease through innovative therapies and collaborative teamwork.
You may also be a great fit if you:
Have a Bachelor degree in allied health science or health sciences
Have experience providing services for people living with a disability e.g. in healthcare or clinical research settings.
Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Are experienced in upper limb rehabilitation
Hold AHPRA registration or are an Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Together the team has delivered numerous multi-site national and international clinical intervention trials. They have secured over $42M in Federal State Philanthropic and International competitive funding . Their pioneering work has had both local and global impact informing Australian and international healthcare policy and clinical practice guidelines for respiratory and sleep care. The team provides education and skills training to specialist and community healthcare professionals around Australia ensuring access to quality respiratory and sleep care for people living with neuromuscular disease.
