Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Homemaker to join our hospice care team. The Homemaker provides supportive services to patients and families focusing on maintaining a clean safe and comfortable home environment. This role does not provide hands-on medical care but is essential to improving patients quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide light housekeeping services (laundry vacuuming dusting dishwashing etc.)
Prepare and serve simple meals and snacks as directed by the patient/family
Assist with grocery shopping or errands as needed (if permitted)
Maintain a safe sanitary and comfortable home environment for patients
Report any changes in the patients condition or environment to the hospice team
Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and families
Follow care plans and instructions from the hospice team
Respect patient rights privacy and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in homemaking caregiving or housekeeping strongly preferred
Compassionate dependable and patient-centered attitude
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients homes
Must pass background check and health screenings as required
