Description
Serve as a Physical Security Specialist and Mission Assurance Lead orchestrating and integrating protective measures to safeguard Missile Defense Systems information from loss compromise or unauthorized disclosure and to protect Agency workforce facilities and infrastructure from acts of terrorism insider threat and the effects of natural disasters.
The Applicant will:
- Engage in Mission Assurance activities such as performing analysis developing plans preparing reports attending meetings conducting surveys maintaining and updating databases and conducting training.
- Assist in the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Emergency Management and Physical Security concerns and have a deep understanding of DoD security related policies and issuances specifically DoDI 5200.08-R DoDI 5200.08 DoDD 2000.12 DoDD 4270.5
- Participate in inter and intra-agency collaborative efforts; prepare reports and memoranda. Assist in revising existing or developing new policies plans procedures and training material; and make recommendations.
- Assist with planning developing and executing Physical Site Surveys for controlled facility designation and accreditation and/or decertification of open storage areas (OSAs). Prepare and coordinate Physical Security Site Survey forms checklists and/or comments matrix and accreditation designation and/or decertification memorandums IAW DoD and MDA guidance.
- Prepare manuals standard operating procedures fixed facility checklists outlining regulations and establish procedures for handling storing and keeping records and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
- Assist with planning; developing and coordinating Electronic Security System (ESS) Performance Verification Testing and Acceptance (PVT&A) documentation. Prepare coordinate staff and disseminate security related correspondence and reports in support of the PVT&A process (e.g. Alarm Test Report and PVT&A Log)
Qualifications
Basic Qualification
- Experience in on missile defense-related or other complex large DoD programs or projects.
- Clearance: Secret
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree relevant to the Security field preferred
- 8 or more years experience working on missile defense-related or other complex large DoD programs/projects
- 2 years DoD Security Experience
- 2 years leading multi-disciplined teams
- 2 years coordinating technical issues with outside agencies/OSD level coordination
- Inspection skills that include identifying requirements assessing compliance and proper reporting techniques
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent competency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
