This internship offers the opportunity to help cover the most important economic investing and market-moving news each day. Interns will work closely with editors and reporters throughout the newsroom providing coverage across the markets economics and personal finance teams. Youll report to Assistant Managing Editor Nicole Pesce based in New York. This role is hybrid with work based in our Midtown Manhattan office. You Will:Monitor the most important news moments of the day and help spot the money and investing angles that everyone else is missing. Report and write timely and impactful articles of varying lengths on economic and financial news breaking developments such as market reactions to economic data policy changes or corporate news and unpack these events for our audience. Contribute research and reporting for longer enterprise journalism stories off the Have:Completed at least two years of undergraduate study. (Journalism communications economics or related fields preferred.) Interest in markets business and the economy Stellar writing critical thinking and collaboration skillsAbility to report and write quickly and cleanly under deadline pressure Insatiable curiosity and a drive to expand the news of the moment into enterprise stories that resonate with real people
