The Amazon Music User Primitives team is looking for a passionate innovative and results-oriented Software Development Engineer to help us re-imagine the user primitives and experiences for customers unlocking new features and empowering customers to share their music with friends.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Music User Primitives team you will be responsible for;
- Systems that power the library playlist and queue experience for millions of customers.
- You will work with a team of high-caliber engineers to create new scalable systems to manage the diverse set of customer features.
- Through experimentation you and your team will solve for an optimally engaging music experience by delivering content seamlessly and help customers interact with their playlists in easy and intuitive ways.
- We use off the shelf AWS products such as EC2 ECS Lambda EventBridge S3 DynamoDB and CloudWatch.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
