An esteemed Independent School in Luton is seeking an exceptional Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead to join its vibrant upper Key Stage 2 team on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The appointed Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead will start in January 2026 and be responsible for teaching a bright and curious Year 5 cohort while also taking the lead for Mathematics across the school. This is a Full-Time Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead post and offers significant opportunities for professional development leadership and curriculum innovation. The successful candidate will begin planning and teaching from January 2026 supporting pupils academic progression and their personal growth.
Key responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead:
- Deliver engaging creative and challenging lessons in Year 5 promoting high standards and a love of learning.
- Lead the Mathematics curriculum across the school mentoring colleagues and supporting the development of innovative teaching approaches.
- Assess pupil progress using data to inform planning interventions and enrichment activities.
- Foster a positive supportive classroom culture that encourages curiosity resilience and confidence.
- Liaise with parents and contribute to wider school events and extracurricular activities.
