Job Summary

We are working with a high-performing mixed secondary academy in Staffordshire who are seeking to appoint a dedicated History Teacher from January. The role is full-time and permanent covering Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A-Level History.

About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging enquiry-led lessons across multiple year groups contributing to a department that values depth analysis and student voice. The department is well supported and regularly updates curriculum materials. There will also be opportunities to lead fieldwork local history projects and historical enrichment activities that tie into wider school events.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History
  • Is able to teach GCSE and/or A-Level (or keen to take on this responsibility)
  • Demonstrates high expectations creativity and a student-centered approach
  • Has the legal right to work in the UK
