Occupational Therapists plan and execute rehabilitation programs to help patients improve regain and develop the skills needed for day to day life and work. Occupational Therapists utilize a variety of skills including but not limited to therapeutic activities neuromuscular re-education fabricating/issuing splints adaptive equipment recommendations therapeutic exercise manual techniques and physical modalities. They develop custom programs aimed at improving activities of daily living. Therapists demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients and provide compassionate care.
