Job Summary

Pathologist Assistant- Contract Role

Location: Saranac Lake NY 12983

Duration: 13-weeks Contract

Shift: 10hr Day 7:30am 4pm

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Weekly Pay Rate: $3200 - $3520; (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens under supervision of a pathologist
Preparation dissection and documentation of autopsy cases
Assist in intraoperative consultations (frozen sections)
Ensure accurate specimen labeling documentation and quality control
Collaborate with pathology histology and cytology teams to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain laboratory equipment and cleanliness in accordance with safety standards
Prepare photographic documentation of specimens as required
Ensure compliance with NYS DOH and CAP regulations

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
NYS Licensure as a Pathologist Assistant.
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pathologist Assistant.

Required Experience in:

Surgical Pathology / Histology
Cytology
General Pathology
Autopsy Pathology
