Job Summary

Title: Senior/Lead PHP Engineer

Location: Charlotte NC

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect PHP-based applications and services ensuring scalability security and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using PHP 8.x frameworks (e.g. Laravel 10.x CodeIgniter 4.x).
Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to developers on best practices and design patterns.
Define and maintain coding standards documentation and architectural guidelines.
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends recommending improvements and innovations.
Mentor and train development teams to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

10 years of experience in PHP development with at least 3 years in an architectural role.
Proficiency in PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel CodeIgniter) and experience with front-end technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery).
Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g. MySQL) and API development (RESTful services).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and design.
