Primary responsibilities include coordination and assurance of customers industry and site quality specifications are met. This position will troubleshoot problem areas train employees on inspection equipment create and coordinate quality awareness efforts and focus on analysis and problem solving through managing non-conforming and quality control processes in a production environment.
This position will complete First Article and routine inspection to Engineering Drawings utilizing measuring instruments creating Rejection Reports and notify relevant departments of non-conformities.
- Quality inspection of vendor and in-house parts. Operate a variety of precision measurement equipment and tools
- Documentation of internal and external rejections via computer software and server directories
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches. Able to recognize and identify print markings and symbols accurately
- Support calibration activities and gage investigations
- Identify and recommend continual improvement opportunities for quality systems
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar quality role
- SAP and ERP knowledge or experience.
- Internal or external system and process audit execution facilitation and reporting
- Familiar with a variety of concepts practices and procedures used in quality management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Preferred Qualifications
- The Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification beneficial
- Medical Device and Pharmaceutical process knowledge beneficial
- External auditor certification ISO9001 ISO14001 ISO45001 highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word Excel and Outlook)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Physical Requirements:
- Production and office environment
- Required to stand walk and sit; reach with hands and arms
- In the course of daily work associate may be outside around commercial vehicles powered industrial trucks and hazardous waste
- Occasionally required to stoop kneel bend crouch and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (above 50 lbs. with assistance).
- This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment
