Amazons Inventory Trust team is seeking an experienced Risk Specialist to join our new program focused on inventory management and seller risk. Our team works tirelessly to protect Customers Selling Partners and our Store by ensuring proper handling of inventory within our fulfillment network. We specialize in complex investigations related to seller accounts and inventory disposition decisions.
We are looking for an experienced Risk Specialist to own complex investigations high judgement decisions and escalations associated with our this role you will work on investigations manage escalations and communication with external teams to ensure that the No More Free Removals (NMFR) team is accurately communicating its decisions to these key stakeholders and that we are capturing and incorporating feedback related to Seller experience.
In addition to making the right inventory decisions the candidate will need to be able to use basic SQL knowledge and use data as evidence to convince/influence key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
As a Risk Specialist you will:
- Conduct complex investigations on enforced seller accounts analyzing account history financial data and inventory information to make high-judgment decisions.
- Manage the appeal process for sellers ensuring fair evaluation while maintaining program integrity.
- Handle escalations and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external teams.
- Use data analysis skills to identify trends process gaps and opportunities for program improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and optimize program effectiveness.
- Ensure accurate communication of decisions to key stakeholders and incorporate feedback related to Seller experience.
- Utilize SQL and advanced Excel skills to analyze data and present compelling evidence to influence decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of investigation protocols and best practices.
- Stay updated on relevant policies regulations and industry trends that may impact the NMFR program.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills excellent communication abilities and keen attention to detail. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving program needs.

1. Bachelors degree
2. 18 months of investigations experience as Sr. Investigator or 12 months experience in bad actor investigations/POE/CDT/Risk mining as Sr. Investigator.
3. 6 months of experience working with SQL and Advanced Excel.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
1. Experience in SPICE/SPLAT/Kyriba/DENALI tools
2. Proven ability to work with upstream teams to fix process gaps
3. Strong stakeholder management experience
4. Ability to support business owners in creating detailed investigation summaries for escalation
