GPH Deckhand

What youll do

We are currently looking for casual General Purpose Hands (GPH) working across a 7 day per week roster where you will be responsible for a high level of interaction with maritime customers.

As the face of the company this opportunity will be responsible for assisting with vessel operations while providing a customer service to the passengers on board. This is a hands-on position assisting passengers fulfilling GPH and cleaning duties.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Work under the direction of the Master to maintain a safe and compliant marine operation.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
• Safe deck line and boarding hardware handling
• Cleaning of passenger cabin and deck areas in a safe and efficient manner
• Watch keeping duties as instructed by the Master
• Passenger ticket validation passenger assistance and maintain good passenger relations
• Safety and satisfaction of passengers on board
• Delivery of on-board kiosk beverage sales compliant with Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines.

What Youll Bring 

• NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol license
• AMSA General Purpose Hand Certificate of Competency
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid NSW Working with Childrens Check
