Job Description

As a Facilities Specialist at SEEK youll be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where you can make a real difference working on complex challenges that have a direct impact on peoples lives while helping the business evolve and reach new heights. This critical business support role within the Facilities stream of SEEKs Office Experience team oversees facility operations across all of SEEKs offices in Australia and New Zealand taking responsibility for the planning implementation and optimization of facilities management practices.

Please note - due to the nature of this role its predominately 5 days per week based onsite at our award-winning head office in Cremorne.

The Facilities Specialist manages day-to-day operations through comprehensive operational plans preventative maintenance programs and service delivery contracts while serving as the primary liaison between SEEK landlords and service providers for both planned and reactive works. This role requires strategic thinking and independent decision-making to drive continuous improvement focusing on contract management vendor performance and cost optimization to maintain exceptional office standards that enhance employee experience while delivering value for money.

What Youll Do:

  • Respond to and manage all day-to-day facility related queries and requests raised by SEEK employees
  • Manage SEEKs preventative maintenance schedule and all reactive maintenance works liaising with contractors and building management where appropriate to ensure all works are completed within the required time frames
  • Work in consultation with the Facilities Manager (APAC) to develop/improve/refresh/evolve and implement effective processes and procedures relating to office service delivery to the business
  • Monitor and maintain all safety and emergency procedures across all locations and hold the role of Chief Emergency Warden in SEEKs Melbourne office.
  • Manage relationships contract compliance and service level agreements with vendors ensuring a high standard of service delivery

The Team

The Office Experience (OX) team part of SEEKs People and Culture function provides comprehensive office facilities and administrative support through three streams: Facilities Management Office Services and Data & Insights.


Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated experience in a busy facilities/property management role across multiple sites (with experience in a corporate setting mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of both hard and soft facilities services
  • Technical proficiency with CMMS Building Management Systems (BMS) advanced MS Office applications and strong data analytics capabilities to deliver customized reporting
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skillsable to build rapport communicate persuasively and negotiate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Adaptable problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments combining meticulous attention to detail with strategic thinking
  • Passionate about creating workplace environments that foster culture and connection with a customer-focused positive attitude that drives results
