Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis - Pastry to join our culinary team in Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. As a key member of our pastry department you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our commitment to culinary excellence.

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of desserts pastries and baked goods
  • Follow recipes and techniques precisely to ensure consistent quality and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and orders simultaneously
  • Stock and organize ingredients and equipment in the pastry kitchen
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items
  • Monitor and report any food waste or equipment issues
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Assist in plating and presenting desserts for service

Qualifications :

  • Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
  • Strong passion for the hospitality industry and culinary arts
  • Food safety and hygiene certification (e.g. ServSafe)
  • Basic English language skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the pastry field
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen (Preferred)
