We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis - Pastry to join our culinary team in Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. As a key member of our pastry department you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our commitment to culinary excellence.
- Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of desserts pastries and baked goods
- Follow recipes and techniques precisely to ensure consistent quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks and orders simultaneously
- Stock and organize ingredients and equipment in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items
- Monitor and report any food waste or equipment issues
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Assist in plating and presenting desserts for service
Qualifications :
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
- Strong passion for the hospitality industry and culinary arts
- Food safety and hygiene certification (e.g. ServSafe)
- Basic English language skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in the pastry field
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen (Preferred)
