Were not just looking for a manager; were seeking a visionary leader and technical strategist to take the reins of our entire technical operation in Cramlington UK. This is a high-impact role where you will directly influence performance innovation and people as a core member of our Plant Leadership Team.
The Opportunity: More Than Just Maintenance
As our Engineering & Technical Manager you wont just keep the lights on - youll be designing a brighter more efficient future. You will be accountable for merging technical excellence with business strategy by:
- Leading Technical Operations: Take full ownership of our Maintenance and Process Engineering teams. Youll manage these crucial departments optimizing asset performance streamlining processes and ensuring we maintain our competitive edge.
- Driving Strategy & Vision: Youll be the architect of our technical roadmap responsible for implementing and building strategies that align with site and European goals. This includes defining best practice standards for equipment and engineering across the facility.
- Controlling the Capital: You will be accountable for formulating and executing the annual CAPEX plan from identifying strategic equipment needs to managing projects from design through to delivery. Youll be the champion for key machinery and future investments.
- Developing a Team of Excellence: You are a coach and a mentor. Your mission is to support develop and stretch your team to their fullest potential building a clear pipeline for succession and fostering a culture of ownership trust and exceptional results.
- Championing Safety: You will be the ultimate ambassador of safety taking the lead in driving a proactive safety-first culture across all daily initiatives.

- Proven Management: Demonstrate extensive leadership experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment backed by a relevant Graduate qualification.
- Engineering Versatility: Possess a working practical understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- Financial Accountability: Exhibit expertise in functional budget preparation and robust CAPEX management and project execution.
- Inspirational Communication: Command the ability to inspire and collaborate with clarity and influence across all organizational levels.
- Proactive Leadership: Act as an innovative motivational leader ready to champion a technical safety-first culture.
