We are seeking a Specialist Integrated Planning to take full ownership of Anglo Americans management accounts the primary data source for leadership across financial and operational KPIs ensuring they are accurate insightful and aligned with business needs. This role will drive continuous improvement in reporting processes integrate non-financial metrics and support strategic decision-making across the Group. It will also play a key role in identifying and delivering change initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of FP&A outputs.
This role will be based in our London Head Office where we operate a hybrid working policy with a requirement for 3 days a week in the office.
NB This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract. You will need the right to work in the UK.
Key role requirements:
- Lead the end-to-end preparation and delivery of management accounts ensuring completeness accuracy and relevance for each reporting cycle.
- Define and implement reporting views tailored to each periods requirements ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Oversee the timely submission and integration of manual inputs from Financial Reporting and Performance Reporting teams.
- Review and validate consolidated outputs to ensure they reflect expected reporting structures and insights.
- Ensure final management accounts are professionally formatted for both digital and print presentation including PDF layout and print-readiness.
- Manage distribution of final accounts to Business Units SVP Financial & Performance Management CFO and upload to executive reporting tool.
- Partner with Group functions to define and evolve the management accounts to include non-financial metrics and operational KPIs.
- Work closely with the Finance Projects team to transition non-financial data collection from manual processes to systemised automated solutions.
- Lead and manage change initiatives related to reporting format structure and views ensuring smooth adoption across the business.
- Compile and manage additional data and insights required by the FP&A team beyond the standard management accounts.
- Own the integrity and structure of the teams financial models ensuring it remains robust transparent and fit for purpose.
- Maintain and enhance the models flexibility to support scenario analysis across key drivers proactively identifying and implementing improvements to the models logic structure and usability to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Degree in Finance Accounting or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA ACCA CIMA) required.
Technical skills / knowledge requirements:
- 5 years experience in similar field with high exposure to financial systems and reporting tools (e.g. SAP Hyperion Power BI) is beneficial.
- Experienced doing same or similar role within large and complex organisations.
- Advanced Excel: Strong proficiency in formulas Power Query pivot tables for model automation and scenario flexibility.
- Financial Modelling: Experience in building and maintaining structured models that support dynamic scenario analysis and business decision-making.
- Reporting & Presentation: Familiarity with producing high quality outputs in both digital and print-ready formats (e.g. PDF layout formatting standards).
- Process & Change Management: Ability to lead technical enhancements and collaborate across teams to improve reporting and modelling workflows.
- Advanced expertise in financial reporting and management accounting with a strong understanding of business performance drivers.
- Proficient in managing complex reporting cycles and coordinating cross-functional inputs.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel formatting tools.
- Advanced data management capabilities for data extraction and structuring.
- Proficient in leading change initiatives and managing projects within a finance or reporting context.
