Job Summary
About the Role:
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the hotels maintenance systems.
As a Maintenance Technician reporting to the Chief Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on and following the hotels maintenance plans including preventative predictive and reactive tasks.
- Maintaining the building plant equipment fixtures and fittings to the highest standards.
- Communicating and working closely with all hotel departments to ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out effectively and on time.
- Identifying and resolving potential maintenance issues before they become problems ensuring a safe functional and welcoming environment.
- Upholding safety protocols and ensuring the asset remains in optimal condition providing a pleasant and safe atmosphere for all guests and staff.
- Rotating roster across Monday - Sunday.
Qualifications :
About You:
- Previous hands-on maintenance experience preferably in a hotel or facilities management environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a drive for achieving high-quality results.
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships within the hotel team and address guest needs.
- Effective time management and the ability to respond promptly to urgent tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-volume environment with the ability to adapt to daily operational needs.
- A solid understanding of Workplace Health Safety and Environment standards.
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to work various shifts (shift can vary between 7am to 8pm) including weekends and public holidays.
- Plumbing knowledge or experience will be highly regarded
