Job Summary
The ideal In-Room Dining Server is passionate about guest service and thrives in an empowered environment. The In-Room Dining Server goes above and beyond by taking care of our guests through the presentation of room service orders and amenities. They will ensure timely delivery and anticipate guest needs throughout the placement of the room service order.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Set up and deliver room service food and beverage orders
- Remove remaining food and beverage orders and amenities from guest rooms and hallways
- Ensure all mise en place is stocked and ready at all times
- Review daily reports arrivals VIPs and groups in house
- Provide crisp efficient food and beverage service with excellent interpersonal skills
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Assist with requisitioning and stocking of items
- Provide engaging service within Fairmont and Hotel Standards
- Cash handling
- Speaks passionately and informatively about the hotel offerings and the city
- Tailor service to the guests needs
- Assist with Refreshment Center stocking and billing
- Consistently offer professional engaging and friendly service
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your Experience and Skills Include:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Food and Beverage is required preferably in a luxury environment
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong guest service orientation
- Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service
- Must have weekend availability
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing walking and bending throughout shifts.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and /or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move tables and hot boxes
