About the role

Were seeking a proactive and organised Rostering Officer to join our team for a 3-month parental leave cover (with the possibility of extension). We are looking for someone who is available to commence as soon as possible. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday helping to ensure consistent high-quality support for people with disability across Somervilles services.

Youll be part of a supportive rostering team working together to:

  • Coordinate staffing coverage across multiple sites and regions
  • Manage planned and unplanned shift vacancies including last-minute absences
  • Maintain accurate compliant rosters that support continuity of care
  • Liaise with managers and staff to problem-solve and keep services running smoothly

What youll bring

  • Experience coordinating rosters or shift coverage in a busy 24/7 environment
  • Ability to interpret and apply Awards/Enterprise Agreements
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Calm solutions-focused approach when responding to urgent staffing needs
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competence with rostering systems and Microsoft 365
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Ochre Card Criminal History Check NDIS Worker Screening NT Drivers Licence and influenza vaccination
