Parker Stewart is seeking a Health & Safety Officer for one our best clients in Construction for an role based on the Continent.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and monitor Health and Safety policies procedures and programs in compliance with legal standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide training and guidance to employees regarding safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on safety performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with management to ensure safety programs are integrated into daily operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation related to health and safety.
- Act as the main point of contact for all health and safety-related inquiries.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Certification in health and safety management (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
Desired Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a health and safety role preferably within a similar industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing safety programs.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops.
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual salary ranging from 50000 to 60000 commensurate with experience.
