Job Opportunity: Tree Climber/Arborist
We are seeking two dedicated and skilled Tree Climbers/Arborists for our client a reputable company with a commitment to excellent service and employee benefits including full medical dental and vision coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees.
- Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower branches and debris from heights.
- Operate lift and other equipment for tree care tasks.
- Cleanup job sites and participate in ground operations when needed.
- Assess tree health during jobsite walk arounds.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Strive to play your part in maintaining a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
ISA Certification is a primary requirement for this role.
- Must be able to climb trees using ropes harnesses and climbing equipment for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift carry push and pull equipment branches and tools weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to maintain physical endurance for 810 hours of strenuous outdoor work including frequent standing walking bending kneeling reaching twisting and balancing.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools overhead and at awkward angles while maintaining stability aloft.
- Must have sufficient handeye coordination to tie knots handle rigging and operate saws safely and accurately.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor conditions common to Washington State including rain heat cold wind and uneven terrain.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to sawdust pollen insects and other environmental factors.
- Must have adequate vision and hearing to identify hazards respond to instructions and recognize warning signals.
- Must be able to safely wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) including helmet eye and hearing protection climbing harness gloves and chainsaw chaps.
