Sr. DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer (REMOTE) for a long-term and full-time contract role for one of our amazing partners on the East Coast. You can live in ET or CT time zones but you will need to be available within their core working hours Mon-Fri from 9:00am-12:00pm ET.

We are looking for a passionate Sr. DevOps Engineer to collaborate with other members of the Engineering team. You will lead secure monitor and optimize the infrastructure that supports the software that drives the success of their innovative and rapidly growing company. Your expertise will drive the continuous integration delivery and deployment of their software products to optimize their development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain the CI/CD pipeline to ensure efficient software builds tests and deployments. You will integrate various development testing and deployment tools into the pipeline.
• Automate the development processes by implementing automation strategies to streamline development phases and developing scripts and tools to automate build integration and deployment processes.
• Collaborate and work closely with software engineers to understand requirements and support their needs. You will provide expert guidance on appropriate use of infrastructure and cloud services as part of solution design and collaborate on code merges version control and feature branch workflows.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for efficient management of infrastructure and utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitor infrastructure costs and propose cost optimizations and right-sizing by implementing comprehensive proactive observability solutions for application and infrastructure performance. You will also analyze system performance and propose optimizations.
• Lead DevSecOps and security integration by integrating security best practices into the development lifecycle and infrastructure. This includes conducting vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies and overseeing SOC2 Compliance to ensure that all DevOps processes and tools comply with SOC2 standards. This includes focusing on security availability processing integrity confidentiality and privacy of customer data.
• Maintain detailed documentation of DevOps processes and tools and lead knowledge sharing sessions and workshops within the team.
• Project Management responsibilities to coordinate with stakeholders on project timelines and deliverables.
• Collaboration with IT Ops to align development environments with IT infrastructure needs.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in a DevOps role with a proven track record in managing complex CI/CD pipelines preferably Github Actions.
• Strong background in cloud computing preferably with certifications in AWS Azure or GCP.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Experience deploying and scaling PHP / Laravel applications.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker Kubernetes ECS or EKS.
• Experience building maintaining and optimizing high concurrency and highly available environments.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of SOC2 compliance within DevOps processes and environments.
