GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION
All Hinds Community College employees must commit to the Caring Campus approach to student engagement and daily apply these general behavioral objectives: listen to student questions and concerns with a positive attitude and make meaningful connections with students.
The Executive Director of Workforce Development (EDWFD) will lead efforts to prospect develop and grow new business on a local and regional level. The EDWFD will establish and execute strategies to develop relationships and workforce services for companies operating within the priority sectors. Frequently used tools will include active networking collaboration with the state agencies network consultative client discussions targeted event delivery and labor market research.
This position will be accountable for the number of companies served in the HCC district the volume of related training provided (for both pre- and post-employment training) and the quality of collaborative workforce consulting provided in assistance to local and state economic developers for new and expanding business projects. General daily operational of Workforce Community and Economic Development Industrial Services Coordination and the Professional Training Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Must have a Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Single Engine Certificate.
Must have a Current Second Class FAA Medical
Prefer in addition to CFI Single engine: Instrument Flight Instructor and Multi Engine Flight Instructor
The Flight Instructor is responsible for conducting flight and ground instruction under 14 CFR Part 61.
Maintain student training records in accordance with Hinds Community College Commercial Aviation policy.
Maintain training standards as set forth by FAA regulations.
Conduct ground training and flight training to teach the student the basics of flying an aircraft and to help them prepare for the written test.
Instruct student pilots in live flight to ensure competency and proper aimanship.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree or higher from an Accredited College or University is preferred
