Mechanical Engineer Stafford (On-site)
6-month contract - 21 per hour - Inside IR35
Are you a practical hands-on Mechanical Engineer who enjoys diagnosing faults carrying out repairs and working on a variety of mechanical systems This role offers the chance to apply your technical skills in a busy workshop-based environment supporting the maintenance and refurbishment of specialist ground equipment.
What youll be doing:
- Inspecting repairing and refurbishing a wide range of mechanical systems and components
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective repair solutions
- Working with hydraulic pneumatic and engine-based systems (diesel petrol or marine)
- Conducting surveys and ensuring all work meets relevant engineering and safety standards
- Using computer systems to record and report maintenance activity
- Collaborating closely with a skilled team of engineers and technicians
What were looking for:
- Strong mechanical repair or maintenance background
- Experience with engines hydraulics vehicles or heavy machinery
- Confident in fault finding inspection and refurbishment work
- Computer literate with the ability to maintain accurate records
- Engineering qualification (Level 3 or 4) or completed a recognised apprenticeship
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to meet baseline security clearance requirements (BPSS)
This role would be a great fit for engineers from automotive marine or industrial backgrounds who enjoy practical problem-solving work and take pride in producing quality results.
