Are you passionate about blending technology creativity and play

Join our Gaming Technology team in Copenhagen where youll help build the tools and services behind unforgettable LEGO gaming experiences. Were reviewing both Engineer and Senior Engineer profiles. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver scalable tools and cloud services that integrate seamlessly with game engine workflows (e.g. Unity Unreal)

  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs to power applications and services across the LEGO ecosystem

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on development pipelines architecture patterns and connected player experiences

  • Shape cloud infrastructure with a focus on deployment strategies observability and scalability (AWS preferred)

  • Drive technical excellence through architectural input code reviews and knowledge sharing

  • Prototype and iterate rapidly on new features incorporating feedback to improve product experiences

  • Ensure quality with automated testing CI/CD and engineering best practices

The Gaming Technology department is delivering high-quality tooling backend services and plugins. We work closely with some of the most advanced game engines in the industry and collaborate with partners and internal teams to create scalable developer-friendly solutions that power LEGO branded gaming experiences.

In this role you will help shape Gaming Technology by building robust tooling and cloud services that support both game development teams and production environments. Your work will directly enhance the efficiency and scalability of the LEGOs digital play experiences enabling more immersive and connected products across the organization.

Do you have what it takes

You bring several years of experience in .NET developmentwith strong proficiency inC# and a proven track record in backend development includingRESTful servicesandAPI integration. In addition you have:

  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as NUnit or xUnit

  • Experience with cloud platforms ideally AWS (e.g. Lambda S3 ECS)

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines source control (e.g. Git) and DevOps practices

  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional product-led development environments

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Unity or other game engines (e.g. Unreal Engine)

  • Knowledge of 3D modelling software (e.g. Blender Maya 3ds Max)

  • Good grasp of 3D mathematics (e.g. vectors matrices transforms quaternions)

  • Previous experience on a game studio tools or pipeline team

  • A passion for games and the gaming industry
