The Director of Student Wellbeing & College Psychologist is responsible for overseeing the holistic psychological and emotional development of students at Oxley Christian College.
The purpose of this position is to provide psychological services to students within the Junior and Senior Schools where appropriate.
Psychological services may involve:
- Psychological assessment.
- Counselling of students as required.
- Provide consultation to parents regarding student matters.
- Working in collaboration with staff to support students to flourish.
- Identification of wellbeing psychological and/or educational concerns with recommendation for either management within or referral out.
The incumbent will lead initiatives to promote student mental health provide counselling services and support the overall wellbeing of students in alignment with the Colleges ethos and Christian worldview.
Mandatory:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fully registered psychologist with postgraduate qualifications in educational clinical or counselling psychology.
Desirable:Membership with the Australian Psychological Society is highly desired.
