A high-achieving and well-respected secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a passionate and skilled Art Teacher to join its successful Creative Arts Faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent position ideal for a teacher who wants to make a lasting impact within a department known for its innovation energy and exceptional outcomes.
The Role
You will teach Art & Design across Key Stages 35 delivering a stimulating curriculum that promotes both technical skill and creative thinking. Lessons are designed to encourage experimentation with diverse media including fine art digital design ceramics and photography supported by state-of-the-art facilities. You will guide students in developing strong portfolios for GCSE and A-Level fostering their individual artistic identities and preparing many for further study in creative disciplines.
Beyond teaching you will play an active role in the wider school community through art exhibitions workshops and collaborations with local galleries and artists. The departments annual showcase and art festival are highlights of the school year reflecting the departments passion for creativity and excellence.
