Yanmar Europe is looking for a Sales Representative to join our Industrial Business Unit and help us strengthen our market presence across Europe.
In this role you will manage and develop customer accounts identify new business opportunities and maintain relationships with small and mid-sized OEMs.
This position is ideal for a mid-level sales professional with at least 5 years of experience in an industrial or technical sales environment. You will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and contribute directly to Yanmars market growth in Germany.
Youll collaborate with colleagues from engineering marketing and after-sales to deliver high-quality powertrain solutions and ensure strong customer satisfaction.

Tasks
Sales Policy
- Contributes to the Regional Sales Manager in executing sales programs to meet defined targets.
- Provide input on sales strategies and activities based on local market knowledge and insights.
- Collects and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data related to the assigned sales area.
- Monitor market trends customer needs and competitive activity to identify opportunities.
- Tracks pricing and product performance; proposes adjustment to product offerings and logistics when needed.
- Manage sales forecast and identify deviations for assigned product or sales areas.
- Cooperates with the distributor sales team in accordance with the defined roles.
Sales & New Business Development
- Identify and close new business opportunities within the assigned country.
- Builds and maintains a network of (new) customers in the region.
- Manage customer accounts to secure repeat business and long-term relationships
- Develop customer opportunities into concrete customer orders with internal departments.
- Prepare and support feasible and profitable proposals in line with defined gross margin targets.
Connecting Skills & Relationship Management
- Foster trust and alignment between sales engineering and after-sales functions.
- Represents the company at relevant trade shows exhibitions and business events.
- Maintains professional relationships with clients and partners to strengthen cooperation.
- Acts as a point of contact to resolve customer issues and ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree preferably in mechanical industrial or automotive engineering (or similar technical field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or account management within an industrial machinery or automotive
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you know how to build trust and maintain long term relationships.
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Comfortable working independently and in a multicultural international environment.
