Job Description
We are working behalf of a world-leading global law firm to recruit a Communications Manager. This role will collaborate across departments to develop and implement a strategic integrated internal and external communications program that reflects the regions and firms culture brand and market positioning. The manager will provide leadership and oversight of all U.S. communications initiatives ensuring consistency of messaging across internal platforms and external channels. They will also lead U.S. media relations efforts working closely with external PR agencies to drive impactful coverage and elevate the firms profile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communications Development: Draft edit and approve communications for both external and internal audiences across multiple platforms ensuring consistent messaging.
- Media Relations Strategy: Lead public and media relations efforts by coordinating with external PR agencies and the global communications team to maximize brand visibility.
- Brand Awareness: Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to develop external communications strategies and campaigns that position attorneys as industry thought leaders.
- Awards and Recognition: Support awards and recognition efforts including rankings nominations and annual reporting to news agencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional business services teams to align and execute strategic communications initiatives across the firm.
Credentials and Expertise:
- Educational Background: A bachelors degree is required preferably in journalism public relations English communications or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years professional experience as a business or legal writer content developer or public relations professional.
- Capabilities: Proven success in securing media placements to enhance thought leadership with strong writing skills that simplify complex topics. Experience in PR risk identification and advising on scenario management. Knowledgeable about digital image use and photographic rights. High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint)
