As our Emergency Department (ED) Patient Access Supervisor you will help manage operational functions while maintaining a customer and patient focus. Every day you will coordinate processes and procedures to ensure efficient patient addition having client executive presence and cross functional operational strategy; with an emphasis on process improvement and quality enhancement. To thrive as a ED Patient Access Supervisor youll be providing exceptional leadership experience in a supervisory role. You will have a broad understanding of daily Patient Access functions and operations.

Heres what you will experience as a Patient Access Supervisor:

  • Assesses staffing patterns and schedules to optimize departmental resources and productivity.
  • Provide clear direction to team on daily assignments
  • Directly supervises patient access associates assigned to the Emergency Department
  • Completing registration tasks as need such as insurance verifications
  • Tracks and reports quality assurance results to leadership and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide real time coaching and problem-solving support during all shifts (including nights and weekends as needed
  • Experience with Sunrise Allscripts and Invision is a plus along with MS suite
  • Keeps abreast of insurance company changes and updates.
  • Delegates and assigns work commensurate with knowledge skills and experience and assures the work is performed appropriately.
  • Maintain constant 24/7 supervisory access for associates as well as hospital administration by rotating call between supervisors.
  • Working a PM schedule to include flex afternoons some weekends and holidays when needed

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize multi-task and work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
  • Experience working with a union
  • Ensures staff compliance with HIPAA EMTALA and hospital registration policies.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and good decision-making abilities.
  • Conducts regular audits of registration accuracy insurance capture and eligibility checks.
  • Identifies and resolves registration errors discrepancies or workflow issues.
For this US-based position the base pay range is $45011.00 - $63466.20 per year . Individual pay is determined by role level location job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%
