The Human Resources Internrole is an entrylevel role actively seeking the well-being and interests of employees with respect their overall experience at Steel Encounters.
We offer flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both full-time and part-time availability. Internship is scheduled to begin in August 2025 and end in May performance in this role may lead to a permanent position.
Compensation: $20/h
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the hiring and termination process and other employee relations.
- Assist in administering benefit programs.
- Coordinate employees leave such as FMLA and Sabbatical Leave.
- Assist in compliance with programs laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Assist employees on daily inquiries.
- Provide support and backup to Payroll Specialist.
- Administrate Employee App.
- Redact HR policies and procedures.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and CompetenciesQualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Spanish language fluency
- Customer service experience
Competencies:
- Communicate with Spanish speaking employees
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
- Manage time and workload effectively.
- Basic understanding of benefits administration.
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Self motivated and able to satisfactorily help managers and employees with HR issues.
- Ability to work with difficult or emotional employees or their dependents and respond appropriately.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to effectively resolve issues.
