Job Summary
Kinetic Events Staffing is in search of event staff for an upcoming fan & comic convention taking place in New York City from Thursday October 9th to Sunday October 12th. Our client is a major Japanese game developer and toy company. Anime enthusiasts please apply!

Job Description
- This event will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center (429 11th Ave New York NY 10001)
- Job duties include set up/take down cashier support front-of-house/back-of-house stocking product running directional/wayfinding greeting line management and other attendee-facing roles.
- Pay is $23/hour - we pay weekly via direct deposit!
- Staff will need to wear their own black pants a plain black t-shirt and black professional shoes.
- This role is subject to a nationwide background check conducted after a conditional job offer and in compliance with New York Citys Fair Chance Act and all other applicable laws.
Shift Dates & Times (Must be available all days)
- Thursday October 9th: 8:30 AM 7:15 PM
- Friday October 10th: 9:30 AM 7:15 PM
- Saturday October 11th: 9:30 AM 7:15 PM
- Sunday October 12th: 9:30 AM 5 PM
Job Requirements
- Must have a considerable background in front-facing customer service roles.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a standard shift (typically 4-12 hours) except during designated rest breaks and meal periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Some roles may require the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts.
- Must have proficiency in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional demeanor appearance and actions while on the job.
- Limited phone use during shifts.
- Must adhere to all legal regulations and company policies set by Kinetic Events Staffing.
Ideal Candidates
- Previous event or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Flexible and adaptable as job duties and schedules may change based on client needs.
- Tech-savvy and willing to learn new tasks and skills.
- Local to New York City. Kinetic Events/our clients do not provide travel reimbursements.
