The SVP Brand Solutions for Sony Pictures Television Studios will be responsible for leading holistic brand partnerships strategy across SPT divisions domestically including Game Show Network Crunchyroll Fandom SPT Studios Gameshow Group and Non-Fiction etc. The SVP will focus on developing high-impact revenue-driving relationships with internal and external partners platforms networks and brands to expand SPTs reach and monetization.
Developing and Executing Partnership Strategy: Defining the overall vision and roadmap for brand partnerships identifying ideal partner profiles and aligning partnership initiatives with the SPTs broader business goals revenue targets and marketing objectives. This includes partnering internally to research market trends and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities. Ideally about 60% of this activity will be driven top down through engaging with brands on potential SPE solutions and 40% will involve working internally with projects to target specific brands.
Identifying and Cultivating Strategic Partners: Proactively seeking out evaluating and building relationships with potential partners (other brands creators platforms agencies etc.) that offer mutual benefit and align with SPTs overall business objectives.
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with existing partners serving as the primary point of contact ensuring ongoing value delivery and identifying opportunities for expansion and optimization; as well as ensuring all parties hit key objectives to drive success. This includes using data and insights to evaluate the partnership and make adjustments as necessary.
Team Leadership and Development: Responsible for recruiting mentoring and developing team members across the organization providing guidance and fostering an environment of collaboration and accountability.
Project lifecycle ownership from conception through development: Drive excellence throughout the full sales cycle including research prospecting outreaching pitching negotiating and closing deals and informing Legal and Finance; subsequently working with SPT brands to ensure partnership integrations are successfully executed.
Engage proactively across the Sony Pictures Entertainment organization: Lleveraging internal resources as appropriate to drive additional revenue opportunities while fully leveraging the existing Ad Sales infrastructure.
Impactful Storytelling: In partnership with internal SPT brand leaders Llead presentations for events and meetings with brand partners tied to key milestone dates throughout the year.
Basic Qualifications
15 years entertainment or media sales/strategic partnerships required with at least 5 years of management experience with proven ability to lead and motivate a team
BA/BS degree in Business or equivalent work experience
Proven history of strong relationship-based strategic selling with client organizations and an emphasis on brand-direct relationships; a true rainmaker
Deep industry relationships across agencies brands streamers and platforms.
Senior-level presence with the ability to inspire trust and represent the company to senior executives at top agencies and brands/advertisers
Excellent presentation written and verbal communication skills with a knack for engaging storytelling
Familiarity with branded content product integration or advertiser-funded production models
Excellent business judgement and quantitative skills
