Job Summary

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician
Location: New York NY 10003
Duration:13 Weeks
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Shifts

Pay Rate: $43 to $45 per hour ($1800 - $1920 weekly)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments supplies and equipment.

  • Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments as required.

  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.

  • Monitor and manage the functionality and availability of surgical equipment.

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to prioritize patient safety and procedural efficiency.

  • Conduct accurate surgical supply and instrument counts before during and after procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent credential required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with EPIC electronic health record system.

  • Prior experience in hospital or surgical environments.

  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and a variety of surgical procedures.

  • Excellent communication organization and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure fast-paced settings.
