Job Summary
Job Title: MRI Technologist Part-Time Overnight
Location: Manhattan NY 10029
Work Hours: 15 per week 7.5 hours per day
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 12:00am8:00am
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist for a weekend overnight role. The technologist will be responsible for conducting MRI scans with precision ensuring patient comfort and maintaining compliance with safety and imaging standards.
Key Duties
Perform high-quality MRI scans according to protocol.
Verify patient information and review MRI safety questionnaires.
Guide patients through procedures explaining steps and ensuring comfort.
Position patients accurately for optimal imaging results.
Review and transmit images promptly to PACS.
Enter and maintain patient data within the Radiology Information System (IDX).
Keep MRI equipment and scan rooms clean and properly stocked.
Assist medical staff during procedures when required.
Adhere to ALARA principles MRI safety standards and infection control protocols.
Requirements
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program (AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved).
Licenses & Certifications:
NY State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT MRI Certification
BCLS Certification
Experience: At least 2 years of MRI experience; must have scanner-specific experience.
