The Team

The Director Planning Analysis & Operations works closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO and other senior leaders supporting the overall effectiveness and organization of the Office of the CEO both internally and externally.

Responsibilities and Impact:

The Director OCEO Planning Analysis & Operations is a critical role in the Office of the CEO owning key deliverables to the CEO and Chief of Staff and delivering excellence in an exciting fast-paced and high-performance work environment.

The role requires a combination of strategy analysis and project management skills together with a willingness to play an active role focused on strategic execution at the highest levels.

Collaboration across functions and geographies is vital as the Director OCEO Planning Analysis & Operations will handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously balancing longer term projects with the urgency of immediate demands.

This role would suit a self-starter with a roll-up-your sleeves attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to respond to requests with urgency organization and enthusiasm.

This role operates under the highest levels of confidentiality. Someone who is adept at quickly assimilating information and condensing key themes understanding the next steps and able to construct and deliver on action plans will thrive in this role. Key Responsibilities:
CEO & OCEO Efficiency and Effectiveness

  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff to enhance the CEOs ability to provide direction-setting problem identification and solving decision alignment speed and transparent communication. Develop strong working relationships with OCEO team and other key internal stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of various OCEO activities producing high quality deliverables with consistency and trust including some portion of:

    • Gathering information and synthesizing views. Surface connect and translate the dots.

    • Development of CEO board reports and updates

    • Support effective flow of information and decisions for the Chief of Staff and CEO.

    • Lead cross-functional strategic travel and stakeholder/outreach planning to maximize the CEOs time and impact.

    • Help manage and track CEO stakeholder engagement and follow-up. Facilitate regular outreach and touchpoints as needed.

    • Partner closely with executive assistants who lead on calendar management to ensure the most effective use of the CEOs time.

  • Support executive events (such as Board meetings) & strategic offsites as required

  • Contribute to creating new OCEO efficiencies and capabilities to support the CEO better. Employ a continuous improvement mindset to enhance delivery and effectiveness of the OCEO over time.

Project Leadership

  • Lead & executeselect key initiatives or projects and additional duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff.

  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of critical path projects in which the OCEO is especially interested and/or for which awareness and involvement is essential.

  • Determine the proper course of action and ensure all issues are addressed properly and efficiently and keep track of progress until complete.

CEO Communications

  • Potential to collaborate and support internal and external communications of the CEO

  • Take ownership of the CEO weekly briefings and weekend packs. Prepare high quality briefing packets for all meetings and events.

Other Performance Enablers

  • Partner with communications strategy legal IR people finance and division teams to support collaboration with the OCEO.

  • Support the Chief of Staff in monitoring internal data related to organizational performance (P&L KPI reporting etc.) and external insights about markets and competition.

  • Analyze statistics research data KPIs and company/country data as needed on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Develop and implement AI and automation solutions to make our work more productive and efficient

  • Execute additional responsibilities as directed by the Chief of Staff.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $146109 to $252227. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What Were Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in financial services professional services or related field; comprehensive understanding of S&P Globals businesses products and services.

  • Significant experience interacting with senior leaders.

  • Broad range of experience with analysis tools and frameworks.

  • Experience developing and implementing AI / automation solutions to increase productivity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including storytelling with data in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • The demonstrated ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously addressing the urgency of immediate demands with long-term projects with a track record of successfully juggling multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience managing demanding deadlines changing requirements and at times working with limited resources and ambiguity.

  • Proven ability to navigate effectively and efficiently within a large matrixed organization.

  • Very high standards of quality accuracy and timeliness.

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent.

  • Effective collaboration across stakeholders functions and division.

  • Ensures quality of processes and outputs.

  • Very strong communication and facilitation together with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across the organization to drive business results without ego.

  • Ability to represent the role and the Office of the CEO with a style that is aligned with the CEO; maturity to work with confidence urgency diplomacy humility; requires a high degree of confidentiality across all levels.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion and unquestioned ethics.

  • Ability to demonstrate resilience and a strong EQ to engage diplomatically constructively and collaboratively with stakeholders.
