Job Summary

Job description:

The Inventory Material Handler is responsible for pulling/issuing materials for orders. Verifying orders based on bill of materials. Assisting other team members in the warehouse including shipping/receiving teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Pull/issue materials for orders using inventory control system.
  • Verify orders for accuracy including piece counts and material types.
  • Maintain documentation for all inventory transactions.
  • Communicate status on delayed orders to the sales team utilizing ERP systems.
  • Assist shipping team with daily shipments.
  • Operate a forklift to load/unload and move materials.
  • Inventory Control/Cycle counts

Job Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in inventory control and warehouse environment.
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience using inventory control systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Required physical strength:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally.
  • Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs Occasionally.
  • Must be able to work on your feet including standing for the entire length of the shift which are up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment which includes frequently climbing ladders bending stooping standing walking twisting kneeling and reaching.
  • Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions alarms forklift traffic perform quality inspections and equipment inspections.
  • Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force.
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds of force on a regular basis including moving pallets carts glass/plastic sheets and boxes using a hand truck or other similar equipment.
