Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President Head of Human Resources

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DATE: September 2025

SALARY: $130000 $140000 per year

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director HCM Systems & Reporting is responsible for the overall management and optimization of the organizations Human Capital Management (HCM) systems (currently UltiPro & Kronos). This role ensures accurate system configuration data integrity and efficient operations through process automation and strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance Payroll HR and IT.

In addition the Director will oversee HR reporting providing clear accurate and timely reports that support compliance requirements operational needs and annual processes such as performance management compensation review and promotions. The Director will also ensure that HR systems and reporting practices align with organizational goals and support staff in making informed decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

System Leadership & Optimization

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of HCM systems including implementation configuration and upgrades.
  • Partner with HR Finance and IT to ensure seamless integrations and system performance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate workflows for greater efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all system-related issues enhancements and troubleshooting.
  • Lead training initiatives related to system enhancements and operational requirements.
  • Develop maintain and manage data feeds to external vendors for benefits programs (e.g. health retirement commuting etc.).

Data Integrity & Security

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure and maintain data accuracy reliability and compliance.
  • Oversee system permissions roles and access security protocols.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Develop and generate standard and ad hoc reports to meet HR leadership and compliance needs.
  • Support the annual pay and promotion process with accurate compensation and employee data.
  • Ensure timely submission of required regulatory and audit data requests including non-discrimination testing 403(b) audit EEO-1 reporting
  • Manage the completion and submission of all benchmark reporting surveys (QUATT and HRPANO).

Payroll Support

  • Provide as-needed support to Payroll to ensure accurate bi-weekly pay and error resolution.
  • Support payroll related reporting calculations and adjustments as needed.

Strategic Contribution

  • Analyze reporting trends to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Provide data-informed insights to support planning and decision-making.
  • Act as a thought partner in aligning HCM system capabilities with long-term organizational goals.

REQUIRED SUPPORT FOR ORGANIZATIONAL EVENTS

  • Participates in the Annual 5K Fundraiser and 9/11 Commemoration as assigned.
  • Assists with other special projects and events in support of all 9/11 Memorial and Museum as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing or working extensively with HCM/HRIS systems.
  • Experience with UltiPro and Kronos systems strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables v-lookups macros) with strong skills in PowerPoint Word and Access.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to present findings clearly both in writing and orally.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build effective partnerships.
  • High level of discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive solutions-oriented mindset.
