Accent Controls Inc. (ACI) is seeking full-time non-exempt Warehouse Specialist Lead for the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution. This position will report to the Transportation Department and this role requires that the individual be HAZMAT certified. (If the applicant is not HAZMAT certified then training will need to be scheduled as soon as possible in order to gain this certification.) Job Description: As directed the Warehouse Specialist Lead performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishments storage plan. Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing stacking or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Primary Responsibilities: - Understanding large-scale organization systems Knowing inventory control systems.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Meeting physical requirements such as lifting bending and standing for long periods.
- Knowing Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel Advanced Skills.
- Ability to operate a variety of tools.
- Experience using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and handcarts.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
- Marginal Job Functions: Counting and inventory accuracy. Performs other related duties as required. Practices physical security and is committed to safety practices.
