Sr. Data Engineer ML Ops III

Position Description:

Are you passionate about building and supporting modern data platforms in the cloud Were looking for a Sr. Data Platform Engineer who thrives in a hybrid role60% administration/support and 40% development to help us scale our data and Data Ops infrastructure. Youll work with cutting-edge technologies like Databricks Apache Spark Delta Lake and AWS while supporting mission-critical data pipelines and integrations. If youre a hands-on engineer with strong Python skills deep AWS experience and a knack for solving complex data challenges we want to hear from you.

This role is preferably located in either Miramar FL or Dallas TX. A hybrid working model in these locations is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and integration frameworks.
. Administer and optimize Databricks and Apache Spark environments for data engineering workloads.
. Build and manage data workflows using AWS services such as Lambda Glue Redshift SageMaker and S3.
. Support and troubleshooting Data Ops pipelines ensuring reliability and performance across environments.
. Automate platform operations using Python Py Spark and infrastructure-as-code tools.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data ingestion transformation and deployment.
. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and third-party teams.
. Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
. Troubleshoot recurring issues and implement long-term resolutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Proficiency in AWS Cloud Ops including configuration deployment and monitoring.
. Expertise in Databricks Apache Spark and Delta Lake.
. Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift.
. Strong programming skills in Python and Py Spark.
. Experience with ETL development data transformation and orchestration tools
. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
. Knowledge of Informatica a plus

Nice to Have:
. Working Knowledge Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.
. Five Tran and DBT for data ingestion and transformation.
. Familiarity with Data Ops practices and open-source data tooling. Experience with integration tools such as Apache Camel and MuleSoft.
. Understanding RESTful APIs message queuing and event-driven architectures.
. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78400.00 - $164600.00.
